“We need to have an escape plan.""
"I'll shoot him," Bradley offered helpfully.
"He has your gun,"Mary replied.
"Oh, then that won't work."
Mary sighed. Somehow she didn't think that Bradley's warrior-police guy was coming back anytime soon.
"So, how do your legs feel?" she asked.
She felt a large hand squeeze her thigh.
"Bradley, that was my leg."
"Oh, sorry, but what a relief, I thought I had lost feeling in my legs.”

“Mary, is it ok if I love you?" Joey asked.
Tears filled Mary's eyes and she laid her hand over her lips for a moment. "That would work just perfectly, Joey, because I love you too.”

“I've never met someone who died.I mean someone who could actually talk to me about it.Was it all bright lights and Mormon Tabernacle Choir music?" She smiled in spite of her fear. She'd used this tactic before with victims in their first stages of shock to calm them down until help could get there."Well,I can't really be sure but I think I remember hearing Queen's 'Another One Bites The Dust',"she quipped. He snorted."Well, at least it wasn't ACDC's 'Highway to Hell'.”

Nice to have you as a friend! :)
Loved this book! Terri Reid you are an amazing author! I love the way you write and build your characters and then connect them to each other. This book is just as good as Mary O'Reilly books! I hope there is a next one because I really want to know what is going to happen! The dynamics of the story are so compelling and edge of seat! Never did I suspect the person who is in charge of the organization! WOW! Bring on the next one Please!
I don't see your new book "Bearly in Love" on Goodreads yet....I wanted to add it to my "Currently Reading" list!
Julie wrote: "Loved the book Terri! I am excited for the new series! I do however like Mary and her friends!"Thank you, Julie. I'm so glad you loved it! :) I decided to add a couple more books to the Mary O'Reilly series - I just didn't feel I was done yet. :) So, I'll be working on both series in the next few months. I can't wait to hear what you think! Terri

I agree with Carol, these books would make a wonderful TV series. I can't wait until book 9 is out, not that we are trying to rush you or anything but you really left us hanging in book 8. And the minute I get the email that book 9 is out I am ready to log onto Amazon to get it. Thank you again, for a great series
Hi Terri just finished reading Secret Hollows and am looking forward to the next Mary O'Reilly book, these stories would make a brilliant TV series. :0)
Hi Terri! Any news on the witch Anthology you were on about before?
Also, you said we could expect another Mary O'Reilly in November - what's it called and roughly when can we expect it? (Not that I'm impatient or anything!!)
Hope the writing is going well, can't wait for the next instalment!!
Hi Sue,Book Five is going to be called "Darkness Exposed." I put a sneak peek on my Facebook page, but forgot to post it here. Here it is - the book is due out at the end of this week!! Terri
“Well, crap,” Mary thought, as she hurtled towards a very large pile of ice covered snow. “This is definitely going to hurt.”
She closed her eyes and braced for the impact.
“Oomph.”
That was not a snowdrift, she thought, as strong arms closed around her and shielded her from the impact. It must be Ian.
“Wow, you skated to the rescue...,” she stopped midsentence once her eyes were fully open and she realized it was Bradley holding her in his arms. They were both lying on top of a four-foot pile of snow. “Bradley!”
He raised one eyebrow. “You were expecting someone else?”
“Um, no,” she stuttered. “I was...it was...a...surprise. That’s all.”
Bending her head away from him, she couldn’t believe how intensely guilty she felt being caught participating in outdoor activities. She had promised him she would take it easy all week-end.
Bradley could see the guilt spread across her face. Damn, that could only mean one thing. She had slept with Ian.
Bradley held Mary loosely in his arms. “Are you hurt?”
Shaking her head, she looked up into his eyes and smiled. “No, I’m not,” she said. “Thanks. How about you? Are you okay?”
He started to respond, but then he stopped. “I need to be honest with you and I hope you can be honest with me.”
“Of course,” she said. “I’ll be honest with you.”
After taking a deep breath, he met her eyes directly. “I know about yesterday.”
Crap, how did he find out about the sledding? she thought.
“I’m sorry,” she said. “I know I promised, but really I was so bored.”
“You did it because you were bored?” he asked incredulously.
“Well, that, and he was pretty hard to resist,” she said with a smile. “He really does know how to wheedle his way into my heart.”
Bradley’s heart sunk. He realized he had been hoping it had been a misunderstanding. That she hadn’t slept with Ian.
“But, Mary, after all you said about waiting,” he insisted.
“I know,” she admitted. “And I really had planned to wait. But, I really didn’t see the harm in it. Although, to be honest, I was really exhausted afterwards.”
“Well that’s the usual outcome,” he replied bitterly.
“I probably would have been okay if I had stopped after an hour,” she said. “But after three hours, I could barely lift my legs.”
“Three hours?” he gasped. “Mary, that’s impossible.”
“I know, right?” she replied. “I couldn’t believe it either. We’d just finish and then it was time to start up all over again. I mean it was fun; actually, it was pretty exhilarating. But all that work for just a few moments of excitement and, poof, then it’s over.”
“But, you enjoyed yourself?” he asked. “I know it was your first time.”
Mary was confused. “First time?” she asked. “Bradley, I grew up in Chicago. I’ve done it hundreds of time. But I haven’t really taken the time to do it lately.”
“But, I thought you said...”
“Thank heavens his mother called and interrupted us,” Mary continued. “They would have had to pull me home on the sled. And, let me tell you, only my pride prevented me from begging for a ride anyway.”
Bradley shook his head to clear it. “Mary, what are we talking about?” he asked.
“Sledding with Andy Brennan and his brothers on Saturday,” she said. “Right?”
Terri, I can't wait for book five to come out, I forgot to ask you before - what's this one going to be called? Hope all is going well.
Sue.
I just finished "Final Call." I couldn't put it down. I laughed, I cried and then I laughed again. I loved all the ghost stories and the new "live" character is wonderful! Thank you for gifting us with your wonderful imagination. I LOVED this book!
