Both are extremely complex characters, whose behaviours appear to relate to past traumas either as an adult or childhood. The abuse aspect has been carefully crafted and is realistic in terms of its portrayal.(less)

Usually, I write in one or two-hour time slots, that way I tend to get more done as I'm less easily distracted. A great tip to get in that writing zone, I find, is to work on the admin side of the book such as the research aspect or contacting potential interviewees. Within a short space of time I am fully focussed – and ready to start writing.(less)
