Blooms of Barren: A Collection of Poems
Summer: Wisps of Daisy
Monsoon: A lightning so boisterous
Autumn: Withered greens
Winter: Apricity of the Alyssum Allies
Spring: Lily of the Valley
This book is written from the perception of a youngwoman.
The question that arises is, how do the seasons ofnature depict the phases of life of a woman? The answer is simple. Maybe it wason a warm Monday morning when she started splashing on the canvas set on hereasel, and the idea of a solo journey enticed the young woman. A deeplyembedded yearning came forth, and she fell in love.
Whilst some love interests might remain unrequited, insecurities and depression don’t leave anyone out. Some might even go furtherand seek answers from the divine.
And then one sudden night, a storm sets in, reeking ofbetrayal, hurt and fear. The hail wreaks havoc in her life, but she stands herground. She doesn’t run for the shade and drenches herself, for the monsoonloved her insane.
She tries to find happiness amidst the chaos, but theold wounds open up and shake her core to crumble. Old memoriescome to haunt her at night and laugh at her naivety. Though she holds her headhigh and doesn’t stop by the end of the fall, she learns to love herself.
A mind is a fickle place that brings about themonstrosity of depression in her life like all the fight was for nothing; boundby anxiety and failures, she trips over her feet. Despite fate churning herlife into unknown pits of hell, she finds herself all over again.
The winter comes to a surprising halt, and with apromise of return, he gives up his reins to the blooms of spring. Finally, shestumbles into the arms of a certain someone and falls head over heels. The pathto contentment is a long one she tries to seek, escaping the jealousmurmurs thrown her way. Love fills her heart with warmth. Her strength and hopeact as her armour as success paves her way to the seashore.
The ending hopes to steal the show by trying toconnect with the readers on a deeper level. It hopes to give hope to everyonestruggling with their life and trying hard to do better for themselves.
Above all, Blooms of Barren is for those who arehealing and whoever needs healing.

A Review On WW84
Superhero movies/web-series have always been my go-to but I have never given a review on a movie of a superhero genre. After watching Zack Snyder’s Justice League and later re-watching WW84, that was when I felt it. The itch to write and I must say WW84 propelled me to write one. But before we delve deeper into WW84 let me put in few words about Wonder Woman (2017) played by Gal Gadot in and as WW.
WW (2017) The cast, The plot, The scenes, all of it; just pulled me in, completely entwined me like the lasso of truth does to the people. But in my case, I was so in awe with the movie that I was a willing participant, ready to take all of it.
You know that adrenaline rush when the person in the cape/ hood/ bracelets surpasses all the hurdles to get to the bad guys, it's a different feeling altogether. Maybe I can never jot that feeling down but if I had to give a word to express even the slightest scrap of it, I would call it euphoric.I wasn't much of a superhero geek not until recently. No, scratch that. It has been few years if I'm being honest and I only have Wonder Woman to thank for it. It was Wonder Woman who enticed me into the world of superheroes, whole new world of possibilities, whole new world for me to escape into. So, I genuinely thank WW for that. Now in the wake of an amazing experience WW left me expecting for more. Much more than what WW84 gave.
WW84. Terrific, brilliant and full of wonder, Wonder Woman 1984 a Patty Jenkins film by DC was one of the much-awaited movies of 2020 after the pandemic hit hard and the release got delayed. The emotion that it evoked was definitely heart-warming and pillow soaking. But somewhere in there it lacked the touch of essence that I felt in WW (2017).
Where it all started, young Princess Diana running through the jungles of a beautiful island Themyscira to reach a certain athletic event on time. The journey from the mountain tops to the grounds on which the event was set delivered a single feeling, goosebumps all over my body.
The best part of the movie was the show that the Amazons put up. Nine amazons along with Diana being the youngest participated in the tournament that humbled even the most seasoned warriors; something that made the watch worth it. The only catch was nine amazons participated but only five horses awaited them, intentional or whether it escaped their mind, left some tingling thoughts in mine. The music that was used in the tournament scene aided as a great backdrop.
The part where the youngest warrior couldn’t win the tournament broke my heart and surely it would break yours too. But the lesson it taught; I think I could use the same in my life.
Moving on to the modern-day Wonder Woman set in 1984; weaving wonders in the eyes of the public, I think that could’ve been a little more enhanced. It lacked the kind of enchantment Wonder Woman brings to life.
Enter Barbara Minerva, young, clumsy and hopeful. A woman in her late 20s wishing she could be someone else, hoping to have few mindful eyes on hers but lacking social skills to attract. Sounds familiar? I think we all have been in her shoes at some point in our life. The scene surrounding her arrival was perfect and the work done to bring out her character was simply outstanding.
A drastic change comes forth upon the arrival of a Dreamstone that grants you a single wish. Unknowingly, Barbara and Diana both wishes their heart’s desires from a dreamstone that they thought was fake. Diana wishes for her long-lost love Steve and Barbara wishes to be more like her colleague. The next thing we know they got what they wanted, unbeknownst to them they also lost something in the process. As the Dreamstone was forged by the God of Mischief himself; the stone granted them a wish and in return took something valuable from them but that was uncovered much later in the film. All in all, the main plot of the film was influenced mostly by that stone.
Diana and Steve meet for the first time after he was resurrected in someone else’s body.
Their untimely adventure and silly antiques over choosing what’s fit for the era was refreshingly funny and don’t get me started on the part where the plane vanishes into thin air; exhilarating.
Swoops in Max “Maxwell Lord” Lorenzano, a struggling businessman, with the hopes of getting his hand on the Dreamstone to build his oil company stronger. He feels that the only way to make a bright future for his son is to have everything that he desires. He tricks Barbara and obtains the stone for himself. Later he takes upon the powers of the stone and becomes a wish granter before someone else gets their hand on the stone. That was an absolute surprise and it made the plot pretty interesting and his character a little intimidating. Well, we all can agree that he is not best DC villain unlike Dr. Isabel Maru and Eric Ludendroff from WW(2017) and the film certainly lacked a great villainous motive behind it.
The chaotic scene that came out after Maxwell granted everyone’s wish through the satellite seemed a little too hurried in my opinion.
Steve, Diana and Barbara were too late to discover the whereabouts of the stone and in turn are betrayed By Barbara who doesn’t wants to renounce her wish. As renouncing the wish was the only way to get control over the spiralling wish granting stone and his new master Maxlord.
I anticipated an awesome fight between Barbara and Wonder Woman before she became an apex predator. Even though the delivery was great, it still left some place for distaste and not completely satisfying. A little something felt missing. But I did enjoy it nonetheless.
Later when Barbara senses Wonder Woman’s plan to destroy everything she had become for the stone, she wishes to be an apex predator and gets her wish granted by Maxlord. I felt that scene was fantastic and it kept me on the edge, truth be told.
Finally, the time comes when Diana renounces her wish and gets her power back that was lost as a toll payed to the stone. She donned her Golden Winged suit of Asteria in order to stop the chaos that the world has become was my second favourite scene after the tournament and I feel it might be yours too.
The fight that takes place between Cheetah and WW demanded every seconds of my attention. Wonder Woman electrocuting Cheetah after shedding her wings was absolutely perfect and I have no complaints against it whatsoever.
Lastly, when Diana uses the Lasso of Hestia it shows truth lies in everyone’s heart and it is the only beacon of hope to lead you out of your misery was mesmerizing and to some extent heart-clenching.
Last but not the least, Maxwell learns his greatest mistake and renounces his wish to get to his son. That scene was the cherry on the top; sweet and pillow soaking. In the end I did love it but I also felt the love was unrequited and left me wanting for more.
Main Cast:
Gal Gadot in Golden Eagle Armour of Asteria really pitches in WW84. As always, she pulls off her character with grace and allure. The aura that she brings in WW and WW84 is beyond amazing.
Lilly Aspel as Young Diana. She just stole my heart. She was everything you could have asked for in young Princess Diana. She was brave, courageous and came with a smirking confidence. I was simply amazed at role she played and that too so beautifully.
Kristen Wiig as Barbara Minerva / Cheetah. She definitely deserves all your love as the cunning Cheetah and the clumsy Geologist/Gemmologist. Clumsiness, insecurities and self-doubt, we all have it in us to certain extents and the way she portrays it, most of us can relate to the truth in it. She definitely does a great job with her role both as a person who doesn’t get the time of the day from anyone to becoming the one and only apex predator.
Chris Pine as Steve Trevor. Steve Trevor as always charismatic, funny and curious about "Everything Diana", and somewhere in the middle he definitely calls for Ooohs and aahs from the ladies.
Pedro Pascal as Maxwell 'Max Lord' Lorenzano was the mastermind behind the chaos. The actor certainly gave life to a manipulative, power hungry character that always remained on the side-lines but wanted something greater for once in his life. He did a great job with his role.
I would suggest you give it a watch if you haven’t already. I enjoyed it through and through and will be waiting equally impatient for the third installment.
