Elizabeth started her writing career while working in an orphanage in Guatemala. Having returned to the states, she continues to drum up stories in between hiking, working, traveling and pushing her stubborn 14 year old Golden Retriever out of her way. She calls Connecticut home, but honestly you never know what continent she can be found on!

Francis de Sales
“The many troubles in your household will tend to your edification, if you strive to bear them all in gentleness, patience, and kindness. Keep this ever before you, and remember constantly that God's loving eyes are upon you amid all these little worries and vexations, watching whether you take them as He would desire. Offer up all such occasions to Him, and if sometimes you are put out, and give way to impatience, do not be discouraged, but make haste to regain your lost composure.”
Francis De Sales

Francis of Assisi
“All the darkness in the world cannot extinguish the light of a single candle.”
St. Francis Of Assisi, The Little Flowers of St. Francis of Assisi

Mark Twain
“The man who does not read has no advantage over the man who cannot read.”
Mark Twain

Lewis Carroll
“She generally gave herself very good advice, (though she very seldom followed it).”
Lewis Carroll, Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland / Through the Looking-Glass

Shel Silverstein
“If you have to dry the dishes
(Such an awful boring chore)
If you have to dry the dishes
('Stead of going to the store)
If you have to dry the dishes
And you drop one on the floor
Maybe they won't let you
Dry the dishes anymore”
Shel Silverstein, A Light in the Attic

Christa Hey, which Father Brown book should be the first one to read? Or does it matter? Evan and I have been watching the old shows and if the shows are this good I can't even imagine the books!
