Born in the Rhondda Valley in South Wales, in the days before computers, Simon Meredith is a primary school teacher working and living in Kent. He's been teaching in Kent for the past 30 years and one day hopes to escape. He has been writing since he was 12 or 13 years old, but has only recently taken the plunge into publishing at he request of a previous class who wanted to know when they would be able to buy a copy of Grimble (having read it in class). As well as writing, Simon is also the lead vocalist in the 50s Rock n Roll band, Slim Si & the Smokin Aces which has been active for the past 18 years across the South East.
