“I knew it! I always knew it! Randy yelled at her mother. “I knew there was a monster in my closet. I just didn’t know it was protecting me from you.”
The monster took a step back from my mother’s lifeless body. I could see the green shard protruding from her chest. Randy’s father runs into the room. “What have you done?” He throws himself on her lifeless body. “You were warned to remove her.” The monster spoke in a hoarse voice. “She promised she wouldn’t hurt her.” The father cried. “She had orders to kill the child. You must take the girl to another planet before another is sent.” The monster ordered. “She was so beautiful.” Randy’s father said. “Silence take the princess and leave at once.” “I’m a princess?” Randy said. “You won’t be much longer if you stay here.” #Horroweek

We knew to avid the woods after dark but that’s where we turned, funning as fast as we could, because we knew he was after us.
Our dad fell in the dirt and dropped his bottle of whiskey. I pulled my sister into the forest. Maybe he won’t follow us. “Hide me and my sister.” I screamed as we rand down an embankment towards the river. “Hide us our mother was burned for protecting you.” Our father is cursing our names in the distance. I pull my sister under an earthen ledge by the river. I place my hand on her mouth. We hear our father come close screaming for us. Above us we hear the padded footsteps of the tree men stalking its prey. #Horroweek

I couldn’t see them, but I knew they were there. Thousands of spiders had crept into the room. And they were hungry.
The cluster of spiderlings moved as a wave down the wall. The mother stare at me from her hiding spot in the air duct behind the grate. I blast the colony with hairspray and flames from my lighter. I destroy a foot deep into the cluster. More crawl over the crispy bodies towards me. I’m running out of hairspray. I don’t have enough to kill the all and the mother. I can’t let this cluster escape into the wild. I light my research papers on fire and scatter them around my office. The smoke is rising I spray my last blast of fire towards the air vent hoping to kill the mother. #Horroweek

The sound was faint, but it was definitely there. A small child, giggled, singing. “Peek a boo, I see you”
Don’t be afraid sweetie, come here and sit with me. I pat the wooden step. “I’m here to help you. Please tell me your story and I’ll help you move on to your family.” Don’t worry he can’t hurt you anymore.”#HorrorWeek

Going through the pictures I was swept away by nostalgia until one of the pictures fell out of the album. What I saw sent a chill to my bones.
There I was standing next to my mother wearing corduroys and a gold and brown striped top. The tom boy in her best 70’s outfit standing next to mother. She didn’t liked to be touched. She didn’t like me much either. I was supposed to be the girly girl who liked fancy dresses not the tom boy who preferred the company of her horse. What caught my eye was a mist touching my left hand. Am I holding that mist in my hand? #HorrorWeek
