​Deborah J. Copeland hails from New York City. Her childhood home was on Hering Avenue in the Laconia area of the North Bronx. From the age of seven, Debbie wrote short stories, novellas, plays, and poems, showcasing her impressive talent. Her childhood summers were filled with self-written plays performed with friends to the neighborhood’s enjoyment. The Kids at Latimer High, her novel, was highly praised and even received a blurb from Deborah Gregory, best-selling author of The Cheetah Girls.

Currently, Debbie lives in Los Angeles and is busy writing a new YA Mystery/Thriller novel. Debbie’s passions include reading YA contemporary and historical novels, poignant books-to-film, musical theater, vintage fashion, and gardening.
