San Antonio native Brigid Cooley’s passion for poetry was first sparked — thanks to the writings of her grandmother — when she was a 7-year-old and later cultivated during high school and college while participating in weekly poetry readings hosted by the Sun Poets Society (the longest running weekly poetry reading in South Texas before its dissolution in 2022).

Her first collection of poems, titled "Family Recipes," was published in 2023 by Kelsay Books. In addition to her collection, Brigid's work is available to international readers in anthologies, on poetry websites and in print collections.

Brigid lives with her husband, Zach, in Upstate New York and enjoys visiting coffee shops, taking naps with Scout (the family cat), bouldering and ...more
