Daniel lives in the north of England with his wife Ania, their three children Sophie, Alex and Philip, and Sophie’s hamster Hazel.

As an English and ESOL teacher, Daniel travelled the world for a decade, living in Italy, Japan, Poland and the United Arab Emirates. He is now an English and Maths lecturer.

Daniel does some freelance editing, coaching, proofreading and beta reading work. He is also a charity trustee and was previously a union branch chairman.

I have a chapter outline and if I don't know what to do with a scene, I skip to the next one and leave the outline. Then when I'm feeling more inspired, I come back to it.
Sometimes that can lead to more re-writes than are strictly necessary, but I find it's better to keep momentum going and then fix things later. (less)
