Laureato in Scienze Naturali, già Consulente Ambientale per aziende private, è Responsabile Scientifico della Fondazione Cetacea. Membro di associazioni scientifiche internazionali, è referente per i progetti di ricerca della Fondazione Cetacea. E' stato Direttore Scientifico del progetto internazionale Adria-Watch. Autore di numerosi articoli e pubblicazioni scientifiche su squali, tartarughe marine e cetacei, scrive sulla rivista bimestrale "Adriatico", sul quotidiano La Voce.
