My next book, Concert Black: A Novel, is scheduled for release on April 21, 2026, by Blackstone Publishing.
The novel follows prize-winning biographer Ellen Wroe, who sets out to write the life of the eminent conductor Cecil Woodbridge. But Woodbridge rebuffs her approach and tries to thwart her efforts in order to preserve a decades-old secret. The book takes readers from the frozen streets of postwar London to the modern concert halls of Boston and Chicago. As Wroe and Woodbridge veer toward a collision, both must confront the price of dreams and the cost of art.
