I have posted screenplays on Stage32.com under my name - Miss Cheyenne Mitchell - for my supernatural thriller "The Covering" which has a shocking ending, and one of my short story thrillers entitled "The Voice". Both are adaptations from my work. I have entered both into screenwriting contests for this year. Hopefully, once you read the screenplays you will want to see the entire stories on both. "The Covering" is very fast paced, and the screenplay is highly intriguing. "The Voice" has the logline - "WHAT IF YOU WERE MURDERED AND ATTENDED YOUR OWN FUNERAL BUT YOU DIDN'T KNOW IT?" I will say one thing writing them were a lot of fun and a whole lot of work as I never knew there would be so many, many re-writes doing a screenplay.

"THE COVERING" is a supernatural thriller by MISS CHEYENNE MITCHELL, the Author of "SYROIA" and "IN THE LIGHT OF DARKNESS", is the story of Celia and Drew, two teenage sisters who are part of a loving family that is hiding something evil. I have a Bachelor's degree in Journalism/Communication. I am also a mother and grandmother of two beautiful, little children, Semij who is 8 years old and Destiny who is nearly one year old, and looks exactly like me when I was a baby. She is beautiful, they both are and I am very proud of them. I wish I could say that I always had encouragement to write, but I didn't. However, I always knew it was in my blood. All of my writings are inspired by the God I serve, Who is the GIVER of creativity and imagination. You may not think so, but every word I write in my novels comes from HIM. He is far from a boring God! Just trust me on that one. I just let Him tell me what to put on that page and it comes pouring out. Under His Guidance I actually sat down and wrote not one but two stories within the span of one hour one night. Believe me I tell you no lie. It doesn't come from me. It comes from Him! Also, I just want to thank all of my readers that enjoy my work. And to tell you to please approach SYROIA as a SUPERNATURAL THRILLER NOT A CRIME/DETECTIVE novel which it is not! There is a big difference between SUPERNATURAL THRILLERS and CRIME/DETECTIVE novels. I believe, according to a review that I have read, that one reader got totally confused when reading SYROIA. There are only victims here as even the protagonist himself, who is Arquito Desmunde, is a VICTIM of demonic possession. He is NOT A KILLER!! HE is being possessed by a killer, and not who he thinks it is. I ask that readers of SYROIA please remember that this is a SUPERNATURAL THRILLER NOT A CRIME/DETECTIVE novel as I do not write CRIME/DETECTIVE novels. And the novel is not about the town because it is called SYROIA. It is about ARQUITO DESMUNDE AND WHAT HE SUFFERED THROUGH. I thank you for your friendship and for your kind and wonderful interest in my work. However, I want SYROIA to be approached as well as read and understood for what it is.....a SUPERNATURAL THRILLER ABOUT A DEMON AND ITS' POSSESSION OF THE PROTAGONIST! Thanks so very much. My love of writing began when I was in the first grade. I liked writing poetry, and my favorite Poet of all time is Edgar Allan Poe. His writings are very dark, but there is great feeling in his work as dark as it is. I have always been a lover of horror and the supernatural, and I always will be. Yet, I cannot read the novels of Stephen King because I can never seem to get past the first few pages of any of his books. I am a person who, if that book doesn't grab me by the first few pages, it's over! I will put it down, and not go back to it. I would rather look at the movies that have been made from Stephen King's novels, such as Silver Bullet, or The Shining. But there is no way I could sit down and read those novels because they just never grabbed my interest. I write stuff like I myself want to read. I want a novel to grab me by the first page....even the first paragraph of a novel, and so that's what I write. Readers will find that my work is exactly like that. IN SYROIA and in THE COVERING, as well as IN THE LIGHT OF DARKNESS which I plan to have re-published, you will be wanting more after you read the first page. They are page-turners, and definitely far from boring! There is mystery and suspense in my writings that will keep you turning pages until you reach the ending, believe me! I would accept nothing less from myself as a Novelist, therefore, I would never give my readers anything less than I would accept as a reader. A novel has to grab the reader right away! Always! I learned that a long time ago! Also, as an Author I am learning many things along the way, like what I say about letting lovers of romance novels, butterflies and flowers, read your supernatural thriller is a BAD idea! The reviewer won't understand what they are reading. The worst thing yet to happen to me as a Novelist was for a reviewer to confuse my work which is a SUPERNATURAL thriller with a CRIME/DETECTIVE thriller. I wouldn't touch a CRIME/DETECTIVE thriller because it is not my thing, and never will be! But a romance lover would, and approach (perhaps absent-mindedly)a SUPERNATURAL story (we're talking ghosts here!) as they would a CRIME/DETECTIVE thriller which is so unfair, and wrong. You must understand upfront what you are reading and reviewing. It's only fair to the Novelist! My work has been compared to the work of Stephen King and Dean Koontz which is a wonderful tribute to my writings. But I cannot have my novel which is easily 4 stars and above, rated as AVERAGE when it is NOT, and far from it! I regret that reviewer read SYROIA, and wish they had told me up front that they were not interested. NOW THAT WOULD HAVE BEEN FAIR TO MY WORK AND TO ME! SYROIA AND THE COVERING ARE SUPERNATURAL THRILLERS my friends. NOT DETECTIVE novels! Well, when you read THE COVERING you won't be able to come to any other conclusion but that. But poor Arquito Desmunde is a VICTIM, folks! NOT A KILLER! He is a VICTIM as are so many others in SYROIA!!!
