Ivana Julius (born July 3, 1985, in Banja Luka) is a Croatian author. A passionate lover of history, myth, and strong female characters, she writes to revive what time has tried to forget.

She is the author of The Whirlwind series, a story about young girl, Jelena, who travels to 15th-century Croatia, where she meets Barbara von Cilli (aka. The Black Queen), the Empress of the Holy Roman Empire.

Following its successful reception in Croatia, The Whirlwind series was translated into other languages.

With glowing reviews from readers and book critics, and features in national media, her time-travel tale inspired by the legend of the Black Queen continues to captivate an ever-growing audience.
