About me

1)Please introduce yourself?

I'm a Canadian-born opera singer who has spent the last 23 years immersed in Vienna, Austria, passionately weaving music, drama, and the written word into my life's tapestry.

2)When did you first realize you wanted to be a writer?

My writing odyssey was ignited during my teenage years when I started composing captivating tales and clinched my first victory at a scout rally. Short stories have always held my heart, and now I'm thrilled to unveil a comprehensive self-help book brimming with insightful tips and tales that challenge the boundaries of comfort.

3)How long does it take you to write a book?

Over the last two decades, I've diligently gathered information, effectively accumulating a wealth of knowledge. Crafting the book itself was a year-long labor of love, weaving together the threads of my research.

4)What is your work schedule like when you're writing?

My daily writing ritual begins at my desk in the morning, where I express my thoughts with pen and pad, allowing inspiration to guide me, whether it be for a few hours or in sporadic bursts throughout the day.

5)What would you say is your interesting writing quirk?

I find solace in scribbling on paper, often using unconventional surfaces like old menus or torn newspaper fragments. It depends on what's at hand when inspiration strikes. The challenge is to later assemble these scattered notes onto regular writing paper.

6)How do books get published?

I've been fortunate to collaborate with Lavender Tree Press, an up-and-coming independent publisher. Being the debut author in their portfolio is an honor, and I believe this innovative publishing company will make waves in the literary world.

7)Where do you get your information or ideas for your books?

My ideas come from everyday life, especially for the self help book that I wrote. My upcoming novel, set to release this fall, is the first installment in a thrilling detective series, meticulously researched before putting it down on paper.

8)When did you write your first book and how old were you?

My literary journey began during childhood, and I've been weaving short stories and poetry ever since. "What Are You Waiting For?" marks my debut book, the culmination of a lifelong passion.

9)What do you like to do when you're not writing?

As I have stated above, I am an opera singer, actor and voice-over artist. My days are brimming with artistic endeavors, including directing a choir in Vienna, Austria.

10)What does your family think of your writing?

My writing receives unwavering support from my far-reaching family, scattered across the globe.

11)What was one of the most surprising things you learned in creating your books?

The most astonishing aspect of the writing process is what unfolds after completing the book. That's when the real labor begins, where the story truly takes shape.

12)How many books have you written? Which is your favourite?

I've brought two books to life, one already released and the next arriving this fall. Choosing a favorite is akin to selecting a favorite child; both possess unique qualities I'm eager to share with my readers.

13)Do you have any suggestions to help me become a better writer? If so, what are they?

The most invaluable piece of wisdom I've received is to write, write, and then write some more. It's the only method that consistently yields results.

14)Do you hear from your readers much? What kinds of things do they say?

I am extremely privilaged to have heard very positive and supportive messages in every stage of my writing. I hope this remains the case.
