What better place than Salem to learn, I figured. After many hours among mediums who contacted spirits (and those who attempted to), I learned that I wasn't receptive in that manner. I just couldn't pick up on others' "vibes." However, I was told that I was transmitting plenty. Thus I wanted to use what I learned from the Salem mediums in a mystery and I did in A Deadly Christmas Carol, the second Granite Cove Mystery: When sultry Dionne Dunbar is run down in the street one winter's night, Granite Cove Gazette reporter Rose McNichols is the only witness. Amid Christmas preparations in the New England fishing village, Rose alone is determined to discover Dionne's secrets. Who wanted the woman dead? Was it a member of her mediums circle . . . or one of her black book clients? (less)

Finally Seeing the Light at the End of the Tunnel

Greetings:

I didn't realize this site was so comprehensive--and easy to navigate. Lately I've been furiously polishing my latest manuscript, a non-mystery novel I've tentatively titled Phantom Baby. One of my readers said the main character, Iris, was much like Rose McNichols, the protagonist in my mystery, A NOSE FOR HANKY PANKY by Mainly Murder Press. That's not what I intended, but I'll accept i Read more of this blog post »

Sharon Cook Yikes, am I the only person at Goodreads who can't find her way around this site? Not only that, I'm making a lot of unintentional blunders. Here in the section above, "my favorite authors," who's the first? Me! I swear I did not vote for myself. Stacy Juba, on the other hand, may stay. I voted for her.
