To Everything There is a Season
Stress is with us even in the best of times. This can be especially true during a holiday season. Remember that stress is not inherently good or bad. The key to healthy coping is balance. Music offers a source of balance.
Stress is part of life,
Helping you to do your best.
Or to deal with danger,
Followed by a rest.
Balance is the key
To manage the stress you know.
Find relief through your music.
Quality of life is the goal.
What music helps you during this time of year - to reminisce, to energize, to chill out, to cry, to laugh...? You are never too busy to allow yourself a musical interlude.

A chord of need
It seems that we struck a chord of need with our book. We sold out copies at our book launch and at the American Music Therapy Conference and I see that Amazon.com ordered additional copies for immediate availability.
Suzanne and I appreciate mention of our book in the following articles:

http://www.boston.com/yourtown/waltha...
We look forward to dialogue with our readers via the Goodreads question and answer discussion group.
Please also see our page on Facebook.

Launched!
Suzanne Hanser and I launched our book this week and sold out at both the Lake Health book signing and the national American Music Therapy Conference in Cleveland, Ohio. We presented stress and pain management workshops with the renowned musician, Daniel Kobialka (www.wonderofsound.com). A colleague called us a "trio of co-hearts!" It seems we are striking a chord of need!
The book is available for sale at: http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_nos...

Manage your stress and pain through music
Hello!
Today is a very exciting day as my book, co-authored with Suzanne Hanser, is being distributed. Suzanne and I look forward to our book launch that is being hosted by Lake Health in Ohio. It will take place Tues. Nov. 16 at 6 pm at TriPoint hospital in Concord. If you live in the area, please join us. Suzanne and I will facilitate a music therapy workshop that includes programs from our book, and Daniel Kobialka will perform his beautiful music. Three tracks of the CD accompanying our book were recorded with Daniel.
Suzanne and I welcome your questions and comments about our book. I hope to respond to each one of you to allow us to share an interactive experience. Just as we learned through our music therapy patients and our own life experiences, so we look forward to learning with you, our readers.
