Bella Dunn is a fantasy writer based in Dublin.
She holds a PhD in Biochemistry which has zero influence in her writing style, thankfully.
A self-diagnosed introvert (it’s actually quite obvious) she spent most of her post-formative years either reading a book or writing a book.
Although she tried her hand at different genres, Bella’s heart is set on writing fantasy. Her passion is to create new worlds and she draws inspiration from Celtic, Norse and more recently, Greek Mythology, to create her stories.
Whether you are looking for a sprawling epic or swoony romances in magic lands, Bella will have a story to tell you…

I was lucky enough to read a beta version and an ARC copy of this gripping tale that packs so much into so few pages.
This is the story of Davga, one of the many prisoners in the frozen desert of Rakul where the only hope of relief is through dying.

“We have something important to discuss later.”
Puzzled, she studied her father’s face, feeling that she could pass out with curiosity.
“It’s about your inheritance,” he added, lowering his voice into a conspiratorial whisper as if that explained every-thing.
It did not.”
Bella Dunn, The Dreams Thief

“More than two hundred and fifty years had passed since he entered Triarell’s chambers that fated night, and not one day had gone by without him being haunted by the moment when he helplessly watched Triarell exhale for the last time, leaving him alone with his immortal loneliness.”
Bella Dunn, The Dreams Thief

“Taerlys smiled and closed her eyes, comforted by her mother’s heartbeat on her cheek.
I am the seed, she thought, before drifting into sleep.
Bella Dunn, The Sorrow of the Wise Man

“Though she be but little, she is fierce!”
William Shakespeare, A Midsummer Night’s Dream

“All that we see or seem is but a dream within a dream.”
Edgar Allan Poe

“But I don’t want to go among mad people," Alice remarked.
"Oh, you can’t help that," said the Cat: "we’re all mad here. I’m mad. You’re mad."
"How do you know I’m mad?" said Alice.
"You must be," said the Cat, "or you wouldn’t have come here.”
Lewis Carroll, Alice in Wonderland

“He could not fail again. Not this time.
I will not fail again, he repeated to himself, even though he knew that the words were nothing more than a fool’s prayer.”
