Beachside Bed and Breakfast
A heartwarming story about family, healing from loss, and finding love, even when you never dreamed it was possible.
Ashley Howland Scott has no time for romance as she grieves the loss of her husband, cares for her young son, and runs Magnolia Harbor’s only bed and breakfast. Ashley never imagined she’d notice–let alone have feelings for–another man after her husband was killed in Afghanistan five years earlier. But slowly, softly, Rev. Micah St. Pierre has become a friend . . . and now maybe something more. Despite her reluctance, Ashley has to admit that Micah is kind, thoughtful, and handsome to boot. All the more reason to steer clear of him. She can’t risk her heart again.
After becoming the center of Magnolia Harbor’s rumor mill once, Micah St. Pierre has no interest in letting the members of the local quilting club play matchmaker for him. Besides, the only woman he’s interested in is the one he can never have. Micah is not allowed to date a member of his congregation, so there’s no point in sharing his feelings with Ashley, no matter how much he yearns to. But the more time they spend with each other, the more Micah wonders whether Ashley is his match made in heaven.

Christmas in March Giveaway
Win a copy of A Little Country Christmas. I’m giving away six copies of the anthology, that includes my story, “Joy to the World” a prequel to my forthcoming novel A Wedding on Lilac Lane. To enter, fill out the form below. Winners will be announced on Friday April 2.
In “Joy to the World,” retired music teacher Brenda McMillan has lost her holiday spirit, but reluctantly agrees to fill in for the director of the Magnolia Harbor Christmas Chorale — even though Dr. James Killough, the town’s biggest Christmas enthusiast, is the group’s accompanist. Will he have enough Christmas magic to mend her broken heart?

Happy St. Patrick’s Day
As some of you know, I have been playing guitar for a great many years. Over the long year of the COVID Pandemic, I decided it was time to figure out how to make a music video, capturing a live performance, but with good audio. It took me months to figure this out, hampered by the need for some new equipment that I mail-ordered, and which came by slow boat when supply chains were disrupted, and then later, when the postal service broke. But I prevailed.
And here is a performance of Si Beag Si Mor, an Irish song written by the seventeenth-century Irish Bard, Turlan O’Carolan.
