Audio Book available

I'm excited to tell you that the audio book for The Postmaster's Daughter is now available on Audible and Apple Books and will be on other sites soon. I read the book so you can hear it in my voice and get an idea of the East Tennessee accent for many of the characters. it was a very interesting process and it includes a Bonus. The book ends with the song that was written by George Mabry for the character NewGene who wanted to be on the Grand Ole Opry in 1937. I hope you enjoy it!

Mystery, Memoir, and Books about Music

Hi Readers,
I hope you are having a great time reading the genres you loved best. I have always loved mysteries and have read dozens over the years while traveling around the US and Europe as a professional classical singer. I always kept a journal with me to write down ideas for stories, characteristics of people I met or just observed from a distance, places I visited and foods that I ate. All of that information was gathered into a memoir and advice book for performers called "The Performing Life: A Singer's Guide to Survival" published by Scarecrow Press. Then I decided to write a mystery novel called "The Postmaster's Daughter" published by Thorncraft Publishing, which came out in late 2022 and received two 2023 book awards. What a lovely surprise!
I'm from the mountains of East Tennessee so that book is set there in the 1930s. It is a character-driven novel with lots of intrigue, family secrets and surprises.

Check out my latest book,"The Blue Box and Memories that Live in the Bones" if you like memoirs. This one is both humorous and sentimental. Enjoy!!!
