I've been continuously self-publishing & mailing people my xeroxed comics & zines since the early 1990s, as well as publishing a number of Graphic Novels. My most recent , Shell Collection  collects the first 75 issues of this series. 
 The Weaver Festival Phenomenon was self published in 2018.  Halcyon, The Cartoon Utopia  & What Parsifal Saw are available from Fantagraphics Books.  Skibber Bee~Bye  , Against Pain &  The Awake Field  are still in print from Drawn & Quarterly.  I'm on instagram.

Sending people booklets in the mail is something I hope to continue doing for my entire life. No other format seems to rival the tactile & direct immediacy that mail art provides. I'm super lucky to be able to get books published, but having the repeated & reliable funding that this subscription & patronage provides helps me have more time to dedicate to creating my work.

THE SHELL OF THE SELF OF THE SENSES

Now in its fifth year, my monthly mail subscription THE SHELL OF THE SELF OF THE SENSES is settling into it’s third stage as a b&w looseleaf comics “newsletter” of sorts. Mostly philosophical rambling & attempts at diary style comics so far, I plan to continue with this format for the rest of 2021, at least. For a limited time, I’ll be sending all NEW SUBSCRIBERS recent BACK ISSUES for this new part of the series, going back to October 2020 - six extra issues, as a sign on bonus!

This SUBSCRIPTION is a CROWDSOURCED PATRONAGE project.

For a donation of $10/MONTH, I will mail you all future issues of THE NEW CARTOON UTOPIA There were 5 issues in 2019 (64 pages so far). I intend to produce around the same amount in 2020. The story is about halfway done. For a limited time as a *HOLIDAY BONUS* - I will send you the first 5 issues when you sign up! That way you'll be all set for 2020!
You can also simply purchase the entire series (all past & future issues) for $125
Each issue is 12 pages, 8.5x11 xerox. New issues appear every 6 weeks or so, depending on my progress. The entire story will be around... 100-150 pages?
I started a montlhy zine subscription in 2016 called "The Shell of The Self of The Senses" Every issue was different, but I'd hoped to eventually use the series to serialize a new continuing story, and am finally doing it!

Although I am blessed with a flourishing & continuing artistic career, living only by freelance means that none of my income is ever expected to repeat or be dependable going forward. Although I like the idea of crowdfunding sites like Patreon or kickstarter -  I'm a bit uncomfortable with their presentation & the cut that they take from artists. I'd rather have fewer subscribers. So this is my sly little way of trying something like that for myself.

At the moment, I've got 40 monthly subscribers. I'm making only 100 copies of each installment of THE SHELL OF THE SELF OF THE SENSES. I plan to keep doing this, if you join in, you'll be part of a select few.

I am occasionally asked to draw personal commissions for people. They are always unique and interesting projects. It feels extra special to know that I've created something specific for someone, as opposed to just the public at large. (I've never thought that my specialty is drawing animals, but many of the requests seem to feature them) Would you like me to draw something just for you? So, I think I'm going to start xeroxing my own comics again! I should have the new 28pp DIANA comic ready for you very soon!
BUT as part of getting ready, I'm trying out this storenvy thing to see if I like it.Seems pretty ideal so far - I've got a few funny little things up there for sale- as well as some originals, mostly drawings I've done for the NY Times over the last 2 years.If this goes well, I'll mostly likely keep expanding it and adding more things
