Stu Hatton is a writer and editor. He was born in Boston, England, and now lives and works on Dja Dja Wurrung country in Victoria, Australia. His work has featured in The Age, Best Australian Poems, Cordite Poetry Review, Overland and Southerly. A deep dive into OMD's 'Enola Gay'

I’m writing a series of articles where I contextualise and interpret some of the ‘songs that made us’. The first installment is a deep dive into Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark's synthpop classic, ‘Enola Gay’. Of course, the song takes its name from the plane that dropped an atomic bomb on Hiroshima.
