SELLING MY LIFE!
Hi there!
If you've stumbled across this blog entry, or you've linked here from my facebook or twitter, this is a list of everything I'm selling...URGENTLY. I'm very willing to negotiate on prices, so make me an offer! Not everything has a kijiji listing because it's a pain, so here's the big list:
(NOTE: If something is still listed here, it's still available! I'll take each entry down if and when it they sell)
Bedroom
Full bed with mattress:

The Great Empire of Canuckistan
I've been playing a lot of Civilization V lately.
It's all Steam's fault, really, them and their clever marketing ploys. "Free to play for a weekend" has to be one of the most ingenious selling schemes I've ever witnessed. There's nothing more agonizing than watching that clock tick down to the end of freebie time, knowing that your precious game will vanish before your very eyes unless you - yes you! - the crafty consumer, take advantage of our low low prices.

Limitless
The Earth is approximately 150 million kilometers from the Sun. Traversing this distance would be equivalent to circumnavigating the globe 3,750 times. In this vast gulf, we sit in an area known as the "habitable zone" of a star system, sandwiched between our two closest neighbors: Venus corewards, Mars outwards. The difference in orbits between our blue marble home and these fellows amounts to 40 million kilometers on one side, and 80 million on the other. In ga...

This Week In Crackton (AKA Toronto)
We kick off this week in international headlines as fresh new Pope Francis rocked the religious world by coming down from his gilded palace on high to inform the unwashed masses that being an atheist is A-OK. Will this be sufficient cause to slay Godwin's Law once and for all? It remains to be seen. What can be safely assumed is that if you are an atheist who does "good", "good" can or must not include:
- having or providing abortions
- having premarital sex
- having...

This Week In: The City Built on Rock and Roll
Happy Friday, Toronto!
Before you all flee to cottage country for the long weekend, why not take a moment to educate yourselves on the weekly happenings of the world around you? And WHAT a week it has been!
Out on the west coast, BC pollsters have successfully collated enough data to prove once and for all that they do not deserve to have jobs. In light of their shockingly wrong predictions, coupled with similar results in Alberta and Quebec, many are now seeking new employment...

Still Alive!
Hello Readers!
Still out here. Just needed some downtime to recoup following sci-fi month and also the sudden job loss.
I'll be back on Monday, just currently deciding what I want to work on next. Could be comics, could be updates about my hobby painting miniatures, could be more fiction. It's really down to what I feel most strongly about, because I think that's what people will care to read.
"This Week In..." will return next Friday, currently sorting through news articles.

Today, Tomorrow, Yesterday, Three Years Ago
Today is the day before my 27thbirthday, and I am afraid.
The fear in my head is not the kind of dread you feel in the immediate, say, at the sight of something shocking. It isn't a feel of paranoid unease, either. Rather, it is a fear brought about by a persistent and unquiet uncertainty, a simmering pot of question stew, bubbling up with chunks of "what if"s "should I"...<![endif]--><!--[if gte mso 9]>

Sci-Fi Month REDUX: #2
The Top 10 Best Sci-Fi Movies You've (probably) Never Heard Of
#2: Dark Star (1974)
What It Is Dark Star is the directorial debut of horror and sci-fi legend John Carpenter (if you need me to explain who this is, you probably shouldn't be reading these posts), and while of some of the concepts within can be recognized in his later work, this movie is entirely unlike anything else I've seen him do. The project was the result of a labour of love by Carpenter and co-writer Dan O'Bannon...

Sci-Fi Month REDUX: #3
The Top 10 Best Sci-Fi Movies You've (probably) Never Heard Of
#3: Anna to the Infinite Power (1982)
What It Is Anna to the Infinite Power, aside from having the greatest name for a film since Howling II: Stirba Werewolf Bitch, is one of the best unheard-of direct-to-TV movies I have ever seen. If the phrase "direct-to-TV" scares you off, rest assured it is quickly followed by the comforting letters "HBO". That's right, even in the early 80s HBO was putting out incredible...
