I had the opportunity to record a voiceover promo with Crews Creative for our fabulous Foss Waterway Seaport museum in Tacoma, WA. It was so much fun! The space is pretty phenomenal, and the views are stunning. Next up, Tapco commercial!

It’s that time of year for getting cozy on the couch with a good book and cup of tea. Currently, I have about three at my elbow.

When you think about purchasing a book, please remember local, independent bookstores can order anything you want if they don’t already carry it. WA IS WATER is available to order through Indiebound, a great resource to help you shop locally.

This video compares the paper and print quality of Amazon and Ingram Spark for self-published illustrated books.

When publishing my middle grade book, The Fairy Gothmother: A Collection of Cautionary Tales, I needed high quality printing since every page spread is full color. Here, I share what I discover to help other writers/illustrators/publishers discover their options. See which company I chose, and why.

Introducing, my first EscapePod™ for the Chair Affair Auction to benefit the NW Furniture Bank! A launchpad for your child’s imagination and an awesome hangout for reading, playing games or listening to music. It turned out so cool, I wish I could fit in it!

The EscapePod™ tucks into a small corner, taking up no floorspace. It has a battery-operated light for late night reading and two curtains: one with pockets to store super secret stuff, and one that wraps around the Pod for privacy. It also comes with an accessory leaf canopy. I could see this with a few changes in Pottery Barn Kids. What do you think?
