Book Deal! Announcing EPIPHYTE

EPIPHYTE is cottagecore sapphic feminist horror, full of grief and longing and magic. It had me in its spell immediately. I can’t wait for you to read it.

Congratulations to Hailey Spencer and Creature Publishing!

Norwescon 2026 Schedule!

A lot of great people will be sharing writing wisdom at Norwescon in Seattle, April 2-5 2026. And I’ll be one of them! Here’s where to find me:

Literary Agents in the Modern Publishing Landscape
Editing and Publishing
Cascade 6, Thu. 5 to 6 p.m.
Literary agents have traditionally been the first gate toward publication for authors. But in a world where so many authors self-publish, where small presses are make more of an impression, and trad publishers seem more out of reach for writers than ever...

Abomination Vaults: The Novelization

For a few months, I’ve been enjoying playing in a liveplay stream of the D&D 5e version of Paizo’s ABOMINATION VAULTS adventure path, run by my friend and client Erik Scott de Bie on the DungeonScrawlers twitch stream.

Now we can announce that the choosing of this particular game is no accident: Erik was hired by Paizo to write a novelization of the Abomination Vaults — their first novelization of an adventure path — and we decided it would be fun to play the game. Of course, it goes in comp...

Websites for Unpublished Authors: The Chicken and the Egg Problem

Hi all! I have a new patreon post up. Authors definitely need an online presence, but without a book deal, what do you put on it? Click here to read!

It’s free to view with a (free) follow or a subscription at any level. Please help spread the word to clients and writer friends if you think it’ll be helpful for them. 🙂

Hearts Are Jerks – reviews

5-star amazon review:

This book introduces ethical relationship concepts in an engaging way. The narrator is a smart and honest teen trying to do her best at school, at work, and for her loved ones. Her struggles with heartbreak, long-distance love, bullying, and prejudice will resonate with any reader. Highly recommended for its modeling of conversations concerning love, sex, and consent. Also highly recommended for its easy, casual inclusion of queerness and disability. Be aware that there...

New Client Dance: Hailey Spencer

I’m so pleased to announce, Marisa Corvisiero and I have co-signed Hailey Spencer for representation! Hailey (IG: @outofloveinspring, haileyspencerwrites.com) has written a brilliant and gorgeously dark fantasy/horror fairytale retelling that I fell in love with at first sight. I’m very excited to be able to help her share her talent with the world!
