Authors will be Melody Groves, Jim Jones, who writes and performs music, Johnny D. Boggs, and me, Linda Jacobs. Check out the NM Farm and Ranch Museum Cowboy Days Schedule to see when each of the authors will be speaking in the auditorium and when Jim Jones will be performing his music, singing and playing guitar. Lovely Winter Rain While Anticipating a Writing Event
We had a lovely rain here in the New Mexico mountains yesterday. Our soil, that is usually pinkish dust, turned a lovely purplish hue. Everyone’s houses’ looked so much darker, as if they had all been freshly painted, and the dusty vegetation was washed clean. I found some winter weeds that were ruby red, and I had no idea how vibrant and vivid they were. Stayed around home and kept warm and worked a bit on notes for an event this weekend.
It’s this Saturday, February 23, when Las Cruces Press Women Sponsors the Fiction Roundtable. There will be three novelists, Craig Holden, Bob Sanchez, and me. We’ll be answering another author, Bud Russo’s, questions about how fiction takes shape for each of us. Google all those guys and check them out. 1:30 at Good Samaritan Village, 3011 Buena Vida Circle, Las Cruces. And it’s FREE!

Finally blogging – not too sure about this
I used to do a newsletter. Very infrequently. You can see that in the archives on this blog page on my newly designed website. Folks I know have been blogging since 2005. I’ve been published since 2005. I have read one person’s blog regularly for a period of a few months over my entire Internet experience. I have the feeling that I am a blog crying in the wilderness. Nonetheless, here is my first blog post, Monday January 28, 2013. It comes as I am trying the recover from the flu. Lots of friends have been sweet and supportive on Facebook, and I am resting and getting lots of fluids.
My new website design is much lighter than the black background I had for years. It comes as the release of Jackson Hole Journey from Camel Press in trade paperback and e-book approaches in March. The new book cover is lovely and adds some colors to my previous cover palettes of gold, red, and yellow. I think Shelley and Peggy at Webcrafters have done a wonderful job in giving me a new look. Especially the montage across the website top that showcases the Tetons, Yellowstone, and elements of all four of my Yellowstone Series of novels. This March, let me take you to Jackson Hole with Jackson Hole Journey!
