WHAT IS TECHNOLOGY?

Everything I google about formatting ebooks properly might as well be written in Russian for all the sense it makes. Is there any kind of step by step tutorial for complete idiots? Preferably one that doesn't assume you know anything more about computers than how to turn the damn things on.

Until I figure all that shit out, I'm going through and fixing stuff like too many commas and the places early on in the series where the characters' dialogue doesn't feel as "them" as later on when I've settled into it better. The edits are really minor, just a couple of words, no massive rewrites, but also I was wondering whether some missing scenes should be filled in? There are some short stories in my writing section that were written after publishing so they never made it into the books, but a few of them could fit without standing out too much and might even make it less obvious that months and years pass without a word while they're living in France and when Lindsay's in Canada...? Specifically this, this and this.

I DON'T KNOW. Opinions? Also if there's any other obvious space that needs filling in a bit more please let me know!
