Frank Winter is a native of Northern California who was born into a wonderful family that supported his passions and aspirations. He grew up loving the performing arts, inspired by the animated musicals of the 1990s. During his university days, he dabbled in local theatre as well as productions put on by his church. At the same time, he expanded his interests to include creative writing. This quickly evolved from lyrics to short stories to long-form fiction.

After graduation he pushed forward in his career as a mechanical engineer while continuing to moonlight in writing and music. Following years of honing his craft, he finally decided to pursue an old story idea, which was released as his debut novel, Homecoming.

As an adult, I'd probably say the Star Wars or Halo universe in a time of maximum sci-fi and minimum risk ... lol.

As an adult providing a more adult answer, I'd say one of the theoretical bicameral civilizations from the Julian Jaynes book "On the Origin of Consciousness in the Breakdown of the Bicameral Mind". Provided we spoke the same language, I would love to have a long conversation with someone who truly had no inner voice or real consciousness, perform a Turing Test of sorts to understand the true differences and what consciousness actually does for us. My two main avenues of creativity have always been writing (starting with a poetry contest back in high school) and the performing arts (starting with a choir and drama class back in high school).
