Royalties to support Haiti Earthquake Recovery
Giving to charity has always been important to me. When I had a job, I donated 10% of my salary. Now, I get to donate 10% of my royalties. Sadly, this is not nearly as much as I could give in the past, but I am nonetheless excited to be able to give again.
So, I'm starting off with The Gift. Because I originally wrote it for a post-earthquake auction to help Haiti, I wanted its proceeds to go to Haiti, too.
I've set up a giving page on AJWS.org, a service I've donated to many times in the past and that I trust. My page is here: http://action.ajws.org/goto/ryanloveless It's set up so anyone can donate, but the more interesting use may be calculating what my royalties are based on my donations. LOL
As my other stories are released, I'll give news about where their royalties will go.
