Richard Reeder was born and raised in Chicago and continues to live in the Chicago area with his wife, Anne. Educated in the Chicago public schools, he has two degrees from Roosevelt University. Chicago Sketches (Amika Press) is his first book.
After a challenging and interesting career in government and social services, Richard now devotes much of his time to academics and writing. After teaching James Joyce’s Ulysses several times, he was inspired to create the backstory of Leopold Bloom’s father in The Curious Odyssey of Rudolph Bloom, released February 2022 by Propertius Press.
