Deanna spent over twenty years teaching classic literature and drama to students in Christian schools and homeschool co-ops in Honolulu HI. However, when she and pastor husband, Bill, returned to the mainland recently, she left the classroom and began writing a series of action/adventure novels for young adults. These are set in the Middle Ages, the same time period that had so excited her middle school and high school students in Hawaii.
When not writing, Deanna loves to spend time with her young grandchildren who now live close by, rather than thousands of miles away. Deanna and Bill are also busy raising a little whirlwind of a cockapoo named Gracie, who loves every person she meets, especially the UPS guy with the noisy truck.
