Gerry Blair was a lifelong outdoorsman, law enforcement officer, author, and expert rockhound whose passion for nature and knowledge left a lasting mark on those who knew him. After serving in the U.S. Navy, he began his law enforcement career with the Phoenix Police Department, later joining the Arizona Highway Patrol. Rising to the position of Zone Commander for northern Arizona, he balanced a demanding career with an enduring love for the outdoors. Gerry was a skilled hunter and trapper, known for his expertise in predator calling and firearms, and earned national recognition for harvesting the largest elk recorded in Arizona.
