Paul Enright was born and raised in Ireland but lives in Kenya. In the eighties he undertook solo expeditions to Venezuela (twice), Brazil and Irian Jaya and was elected a Fellow of the Royal Geographical Society. The cancellation of a deal to publish his first book coinciding with distressed finances encouraged Paul to accept work with Concern as a humanitarian for six months in Somalia in late 1992. He has never left. With a wealth of experience working in some of the remotest, poorest and conflict-suppressed countries in the world as a conflict risk manager/security advisor, he has covered Somalia, Southern Sudan, Ethiopia, eastern DRC, Darfur and Nigeria. Next Book

Now that the process - sometimes infuriating, sometimes frustrating, but always challenging - of registering on Amazon and ALL its attendant processes has concluded, I think! I can now restart writing and completing my second planned book. Already three quarters way through I hope to finish by end of February 2024 and launch March 2024. Well laid plans, right?
