Octávio Lanna was born in 1953 in Ponte Nova, Minas Gerais, Brazil. He graduated in Civil Engineering and always had an aptitude for exact sciences. He worked for over 45 years in the Information Technology field.
A voracious reader, he has read everything, including the entire Barsa encyclopedia. Don Quixote, One Hundred Years of Solitude and the Foundation Trilogy are among his favorite books.
He was fortunate to meet Paulo Pastor, a now deceased friend, who taught him to have impossible dreams. After reading Don Quixote, Lanna realized that Paulo had been a Don Quixote in his life and that he had been Paulo's Sancho Panza. This friend inspired him to dream about engines powered by gravity.
