I'm the author of AUTHOR OF ALL AFTERNOON... but like many novelists, I started out writing other things. (All KINDS of other things...)

As a magazine intern back in college, I pitched an article about people finding love in the personal ads. My editors gave the idea a green light, and, to my surprise, my finished article became the next issue's cover story—and the start of my career.

Since then, I have written about everything from health to home design... from real estate to made-up characters... and from reindeer sledding in Finland (as fun as it sounds) to car insurance in Upstate New York (as dull as you'd imagine).

TOMORROW IS THE DAY!

Seventeen years after I wrote the first sentence of my novel, All Afternoon… it’s OFFICIALLY coming out tomorrow! (Whoa: typing that sentence feels surreal— in the best possible way.)
