A Boston born Hollywood writer and director.
Educated in Brooklyn, New York.

Icarus Dawns was an attempt to show a final picture of what my films could look like.
In my research, I fell in love with the longer, more literary works of Bram Stoker and J.R.R. Tolkien.
Six-hundred pages later, I am barely intimidated by the idea of a feature length script; and I am proud to have finished something that (at times) appeared impossible.

I'm glad to have achieved my goal of making a compelling story with real science. I have more stories to tell, and I have to thank my readers for their support and encouragement. They make it possible for my stories to come to life.

Real Science

Ask me anything about the science in my novel :)

I was fortunate to have assistance from real physicists and engineers; and I would be happy to tell you more about the real science in Icarus Dawns.

Also, please privately message me if you've noticed any mistakes.
(I tried my best; but alas, I suspect someone will find something eventually.)

Best regards,
Erik Read more of this blog post »

“Out of the infinite possible souls, you and I were given the gift of life, and we live in the same time period. The odds of us meeting are infinity to one; and to me, that counts as a miracle.”
Erik James Troy

“It was an oasis that hosted empires. Their spires sought to touch the firmament; and in days yet to come, they envisioned themselves sailing the heavens on great ships. Yet a history of wars milled the soil into lands of contention.
They mastered the fabric of the universe and bent it to their whim. Their legacy remains here in the darkness, but not all of it.”
