R. Nelson Feldmann is a Christian, a mom of four, a wife, and a music teacher of twenty-nine years. A California native, she has lived in North Carolina for over thirty years and considers the South to be her home. When she was nine, her father died suddenly of a heart attack at the age of thirty, so she knows firsthand what it is like to be a child with a broken heart. She hopes that Melody’s story will bring hope to children who experience heartbreaks of various kinds, whether death, divorce, or separation from loved ones. Although teaching music and hanging out with her students is her favorite thing, in her free time, R. Nelson enjoys writing, camping, painting, and playing the ukulele.
