P.H.C. Marchesi is an English professor, writer, optimist, lover of intelligent conversation and interesting books. Her research into trees and forests in Shakespeare’s plays led her to discover the precious and rare nature of old-growth forests, inspiring her to write Florissant, a young adult contemporary fantasy with a very Shakespearean twist.

Before she ventured into the young adult genre, she wrote the (non-Shakespearean) midde grade sci-fi series featuring the adventures of siblings Shelby & Shauna Kitt.

Marchesi was born in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, and has lived in Austria, England, and the United States.
