DK Broadwell is happy you found his bio. His debut novel RUTHLESS SKY is about everything he loves and knows- flying, spaceflight, medicine, and about everything he loves but doesn't understand- women, bureaucracies, his fellow humans.
He has spent a lifetime helping NASA, astronauts, pilots and his family get through life. He would have been an astronaut, but his eyes are too weak. In these trying times, please encourage me to write something else. Remember Broadwell's corollary of scientific progress- "If it can be done, someone will do it, no matter how stupid or dangerous it is."

Amazing book that turns the Vampire trope on its head. This is Butler's last book, written after a long period of writer's block, and was published just before she died. Ironically, she made the 'young' vampire heroine of her book 53 years old, the s ...more

Sometimes a deservedly super-successful author gets a pass on work that would not have made it as a debut. I have not read others in this series, but I was very frustrated by the cluttered and opaque plot. The promise of it all coming together in the ...more
