American jurist Anthony McLeod Kennedy served as an associate justice of the Supreme Court of the United States from 1988 to 2018.

Ronald Reagan, president, appointed him in 1988. Since the retirement of Sandra Day O'Connor, Kennedy often swung vote on many of the 5–4 decisions of the court.
