I’m an autistic author living with hypermobile Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome (hEDS), co-morbid conditions, and Congenital Stationary Night Blindness (CSNB from a mutation at the SLC24a1) that causes visual snow.

I had a significant impairment in interoception and had a broken bone in the middle of my head for 35 years; I just thought bone on bone pain was what it felt like to have a head. This impairment ended January 8, 2025.

In high school, I lettered in math and two mental health professionals later labeled me a “savant” in physics.

I graduated from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette with Honors curriculum in 2005 and chose a Bachelor of General of Studies (B.G.S.) in Arts and Humanities to create a degree in Humanities coursework.

I'm doing mostly well. Today I'm preparing for an interview about my book, which will be my first time talking publicly about it on someone else's platform since it became available for pre-order. So my stomach is churning a little. 😅
This is my first book, but I have had a short story and two poems included in anthologies. One is available online and the other was sold during a conference last year.(less)

The Visibility of the "Invisible" in Eliza Dee's Universes

Much like it is to have an "invisible disability," Eliza's conditions may not seem overtly presented, yet if you understand the conditions, you can find them displayed throughout.

To illustrate how Eliza's conditions are depicted through the artwork of Eliza Dee's Universes, please read this guide. Read more of this blog post »
