Stacy McAnulty is a children’s book author, who used to be a mechanical engineer, who’s also qualified to be a paleontologist (NOT REALLY), a correspondent for The Daily Show (why not), and a Green Bay Packer coach (totally!). She is the 2017 Ezra Jack Keats New Writer Honor Recipient for Excellent Ed, illustrated by Julia Sarcone-Roach. Her other picture books include Earth! My First 4.54 Billion Years, illustrated by David Litchfield; Brave and Beautiful, both illustrated by Joanne Lew-Vriethoff; Mr. Fuzzbuster Knows He’s the Favorite, illustrated by Edward Hemingway; and 101 Reasons Why I’m Not Taking a Bath, illustrated by Joy Ang. Stacy McAnulty answered nomadreader (Carrie D-L)'s question: Will there be a third book in The Evers series? Nope. But I did leave the ending of book 2 open. If the series ever explodes and finds millions of readers, I can always continue the story. :)

I've just finished reading Never Thirteen and was genuinely blown away by how well-rounded and deep the series is! as a teen who's read a lot of kids' books that prefer talking down to the reader than taking them seriously, I really appreciated this series. I loved Este, Abigail and Dom in this especially :D I don't really have a question but maybe who was your favourite in the series to write? love from SG <3 Thank you! I appreciate your comments. As for a favorite character, that's a hard question. Ronan was the easiest to write because he's a bit sarcastic, and so am I (and so are my kids). But, of course, Ivy is the heart of the story.

Sorry, I couldn't finish it. Made it to 50%. Life is too short to read books that you don't love. I'm sure others will enjoy (and have by the thousands). The writing is great. I just couldn't connect. ...more
