I would also say Annie and David from "David's Song," but I'm a bit prejudiced in their favor. With deeper thought and longer consideration, I would have to say Jamie and Claire from Outlander, (For the record, Jamie is not my favorite character in the series. I'm in the minority, I know.) Their my favorite couple because they both allow the other to be the person they were meant to be--even if that causes difficulty in their relationship. In the series, they grow together as a couple and as individuals as well. They are supportive and protective of each other. And let's face it--Jamie can be horribly romantic when he wants to be!(less)

I have learned how to write using adverbs sparingly. (haha...did you catch that?)
I have learned how to use a comma, for the most part.
I have learned how to create realistic and compelling characters.

But I have not learned how to use social media. I have an Read more of this blog post »

Typically I love Kristin Hannah's stories, but this one fell a little flat. It felt a bit like reading part 2 of The Jungle Book. A feral child is rescued and turned over to a child psychologist who helps her connect with a human family. Touching in ...more

Where to start. First, let me say the premise behind 'The Eyre Affair' was intriguing and had such great possibility. The delivery lacked.

I wish there were half stars. I would give this a 3.5. It's an interesting story set in a interesting, almost idyllic world. But war is threatening.

Brower did a nice job setting the stakes and developing characters. Queen Eleanor is a sympathetic fig
