Some (Rather Late) News

Oof. It’s been kind of a long while since I updated here, but I do have a few things to share. Firstly, I had a short story published in the Arkham Institutions anthology via Dragon’s Roost Press. Believe it or not, it’s my first ever pro-rate fiction sale, so that was a welcome milestone. You can find it over on Amazon here: https://www.amazon.com/Arkham-Institutions-Where-Mythos-Mundane-ebook/dp/B0DPNLW5G3/

I was also fortunate enough to have another poem published by Witch House Magazine. I’m really proud of this one. You can read the whole issue for free over here: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1jzmlrdJHPfkHkST3z744FIOa-1JwdJHH/view

In more personal news, my wife and I adopted a wayward black cat off the street last summer. Taking care of him has been… challenging, to put it mildly, but we still love the doofus. I also have some more news on the. writing front I’m not at liberty to report just yet, but I’ll drop it here in a few months’ time. See you then!

One Hell of a Month

Unfortunately, it’s been an unpleasant month quite literally from the start. The worst of it is that the collection I had due out from Cemetery Dance in only a couple of months (I literally already had the edits sent back) has been cancelled. This is entirely due to changes in the company’s paperback line rather than any personal/professional beef, but it’s still incredibly disappointing. That said, I’ve been been invited to bring up the book there again at the end of the year if it hasn’t been picked up elsewhere, so there is that.

Meanwhile, The Terror at Miskatonic Falls is now due to drop on February 7th, so there’s at least still something to look forward to.

I’ve been working like mad the last several months, and my most recent project (a novella collection) is getting close to done. One more novella to go…

A Brief Update

Hi, folks. Radio silence to the contrary, I’ve been very busy the last several months.I now have enough short stories roughed out to probably fill two collectionswhen they’re polished up, and I’m halfway through work on a novella collection. On the publishing side, my poem “Whitebait” appeared in Brigid Gate’s, DangerousWaters: Deadly Women of the Sea, anthology. I also have a poem (“TheOrder”) slated for release in the next issue of Witch House Magazine.Weirder still, I have three poems in the upcoming The Terror at MiskatonicFalls anthology from Cemetery Dance after twelve long years of seeing itgo through development hell (kudos to Kevin Lucia for keeping that one aliveeven after Shroud folded). I’ll drop the applicable links below (and one for“The Last Look,” just for good measure–much love to you if you leave a rating and/or review).

A Poem and Announcement

It’s been a while since I last posted here, but I’ve got some good news to report. Firstly, my poem “The Gate” is available to read for free over at Witch House Magazine (as is the whole issue). You can check it out here: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1wBLM1NU2Hsn-nSli7Sd8JYxklplq3JuS/view

And in truly crazy news, I have officially sold my short story collection “The Neonate and Other Anomalies” to the good folks at Cemetery Dance! Needless to say, I’m still reeling in a bit of shock from that one. If all goes well, the book should become available in 2024. I’ll keep you posted.

Wind Chill 99-cent Sale

Hey folks,

Wind Chill is officially out of Kindle Unlimited but is now available on Crystal Lake’s site proper–and on sale for 99 cents! Grab it while you can…

Direct purchases through the publisher mean more money in authors’ pockets, so I recommend doing so whenever possible.

In other good news, the (very) Lovecraft-inspired poem I had picked up by Hypnos Magazine is also available in Volume 9 Issue 2, so give that a look here if you’re so inclined:

http://hypnosmagazine.com/store.html

Happy reading.
