Back on track!

Wow I didn't know how off track I really was, since I had started working full time, and school I new my writing/editing would suffer.
I'm back on track and editing again, and having my new project picked apart by two awesome people, and it feels great. I know it's only going to get better from here.

My new project

I have hit 30k!! Book two is officially well on it's way. I've hit the normal snags but so far *knock on wood* I haven't hit any major set backs. I beleive I would have been finished by now, but half way through I realized that I had two books written together. I was telling the same story, but it didn't fit together. I was rolling two of my character's together nd my poor hero was suffering from a major case of multiple personalities. But well say after he had some therapy he's all himslef now, and I have a new story. :)So all good.

My first blog

Ok guy this is my first official blog as my alter ego the writter, so I'm not sure how to do this right just yet so ignore my learning curve.
Hidden Embers started out as just a project I was doing for fun, it had basically sat filed away on my computer for a couple of years gathering cyber dust. Some of you are probably like me and have a nosey friends. Well mine found it fun to dig around on my computer and she happened upon Hidden Embers in a folder with no name.
Needless to say she read it and liked it. In comes the pressure to submit it to a publisher. I dug through dozens of publishers until I found Whispers Publishing. There was something that caught my attention with them so I submitted my work.
Imagine my shock when I got that first email telling me they wanted to publish my book. You could have knocked me over with a feather. The rush you get from that first email never really fades. Personally I found the edits nail bitting yet awesome fun. The part that worried me was the cover art. After I had finally let it sink in that this was really happening I began to worry that my cover artist wouldn't see my book they way I did. I was wrong, Rhiannon nailed it on the first try. Love at first sight.
I am currently working on my second book in the East Crest series, hoping that it takes fire like the first :)
