In the futurist view of Christian eschatology, the Tribulation is a seven-year period of time where all of mankind will experience worldwide hardships, persecution, disasters, famine, war, pain, suffering, and death on an unfathomable scale which will affect all of creation and precede judgment of all once the Second Coming takes place.

NEW NOVEL - WHITE WIDOW (Cris De Niro, Book 7)

Picture Scipio took a big gulp of his coffee, “The one that got away. The only blemish on my otherwise platinum record.”
“You mean the White Widow.”

Cris De Niro and The Watchman Agency (TWA) thwarted the terrorist plot in Detroit by the infamous White Widow, a British national-turned-Islamic extremist responsible for dozens of attacks and hundreds of murders all over the world. Yet, to save innocent spectators at a Fourth of July fireworks festival, Scipio had to allow the Widow to escape. Over...

Picture RELEASE DATE: 19 November, 2017

Coming this Sunday is the release of our first book outside of the CRIS DE NIRO universe. JOSHUA'S COUNTRY is a modern War Western that answers the question, "What happens when an Islamic terrorist's hate for America faces an old cowboy's love for his grandson?"

Yet, JOSHUA'S COUNTRY became less a war story or terrorist tale than a story of a man's disillusionment with his country and dysfunctional relationship with his family. Joshua is a prideful man that...

The Unity of Mankind

Picture There is nothing so glorious nor more wide-spread than the unity of mankind, that partnership and sharing of interests, that dearness of the human race, which has its origin at birth, because parents love their offspring, and because the whole family is bound together by marriage and by parenthood. This sentiment gradually spreads beyond the household, first to blood relatives, then to relations acquired by marriage, then to friends and later to neighbours, then to fellow-citizens and to tho...

The Power of Friendship

Picture In everyone's life, at some time, our inner fire goes out. It is then burst into flame by an encounter with another human being. We should all be thankful for those people who rekindle the inner spirit. --Albert Schweitzer

Though I don’t count many as one, truly, I have always been thankful for my friends. Yet, it wasn't until an extraordinary occurrence recently that I've even begun to understand the real power of friendship.

Like love—because its essence is based on love—friendship can ove...

What would you do if you knew you could not fail

Picture Back in October, when I began researching the first book in a new series, I came across a remarkable story. A group of CIA operatives murdered by a suicide bomber in Afghanistan, in December 2009. Of the seven patriots that lost their lives that day, the story of one amazing woman remained with me. Her name was Elizabeth Hanson.

You can read more about Ms. Hanson and the incident itself here: " Who Was Elizabeth Hanson ."Washington Post reporter Joby Warrick was the person who investigated the...

The Power of Friendship

Picture God values friendship.
"Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.Ye are my friends, if ye do whatsoever I command you. Henceforth I call you not servants; for the servant knoweth not what his lord doeth: but I have called you friends; for all things that I have heard of my Father I have made known unto you." (John 15:13-15)
We are told by God that laying down your life for your friend is the greatest love. There are many heroic and virtuous examples throu...

No Words

No words.
I'm a writer, but I have no words
that can bring comfort, or ease pain.

The terror that the children must have suffered.
The fear that the adult victims suffered.
The unending pain the parents, and siblings, and spouses, and children of the victims will suffer everyday hereafter.

The broken families.
The shattered dreams.
The missing laughter and smiles.
Never to hug or hold again.

For all those who suffered loss,
The quiet brings pain
and the darkness, tears.
Memories overwhelm.

Senseless. Cowar...

NEW! CRIS DE NIRO series trailer

Some years ago I met Philip Norbert. Our sons were playing on the same little league baseball team. From our love of everything artistic (and our irreverent sense of humor), we quickly became friends. Philip is a talented director. We talk all the time about the convergence of the various medias - books, cinema, TV, audio, gaming. We talked also about the various platforms on which our converged art is now available - TV, radio, computers, tablets, phones, eReaders.

Countless pints over the p...
