The authors have had more than 20 instore book signings for Destiny's Gate since its release in August, 2014 at Chapters/Indigo and several Independent bookstores. They also attend The Word On The Street, Toronto. The authors are grateful indeed!
Lee Bice-Matheson’s first book in the Paige Maddison Series was Wake Me Up Inside (FriesenPress, 2012), which was the Literacy Award Winner from the Readers’ Advisory Panel, Orillia Public Library and was also included in the 2013-14 Battle of the Books competition in Simcoe County schools. Both books are in the Battle of the Books 2014-2016.
Lee has also contributed to J.R. Columbo’s The Big Book of Canadian Hauntings. She holds degrees in Honours History and Master of Library and Information Science from The University of Western Ontario. Lee is a member of Kappa Alpha Theta, Gamma Epsilon Chapter. She is also a graduate of the Institute of Children’s Literature. Lee is a supporter of asthma and allergies for children at the Mount Sinai Alternative Medical Health Clinic in New York City.
Lee was born in Sarnia, Ontario and is the wife of a prominent chiropractor, Kevin, lucky in love for 25 years. Their son, J.R. Matheson, graduated from McGill University, June, 2015. J.R. has accepted his admission to a direct-entry PhD. at The University of Toronto, Medical School, Pharmacology and Addictions research, September, 2015. Congratulations J.R.! Lee and her husband live in Orillia, Stephen Leacock’s summer hometown, writer and humourist, 1869-1944.

It is difficult to celebrate the state of emergency ending today, March 1st, 2022, while a war is going on in the Ukraine.
