Tantalizing Tuesday Tease

We’ve all seemed to have taken a hiatus from our teasing but this week we’re back. Every Tuesday a group of writers get to together and post an excerpt from either one of the stories they’re currently writing with a picture. Naomi Shaw suggested that it should be Halloween themed but I really didn’t have anything suitable.
My excerpt comes from my unfinished submission to Evernight Publishing Lawless Anthology which is out this week.
Love with a Bullet
He shrugged. “I really needed you to let me in. If I hadn’t been so near to death I wouldn’t have come here. Blame it on the blood loss.” It sounded harsh but it was the truth. He loved her. Damn she was the only one he’d ever loved.
She moved pass him. “I thought of that. You would really have left me in the dark, wouldn’t you? I would have spent the rest of my life not knowing if you died or not. I just thought that you were a dick. Just leaving in the middle of the night.” Cole followed her, she still wore the shirt and the bottom of it brushed against the curve of her butt. He reached out and grabbed her. He spun her and pushed her against the wall. A gasp escaped her as he claimed her mouth again. He knew that he shouldn’t touch her but he couldn’t help himself. “God, I want you.”
Her hands were back at his jeans. Cole grabbed the sides of her shirt and pulled them apart. Buttons popped and hit the ground. He ignored the pain in his side and grabbed her breasts. Cole flicked her nipples, which were already hard underneath his thumbs.
“Cole.” She whispered his name as he slipped his hand down the waist band of her pants. Smooth skin greeted his questing fingers and there was no mistaking the wetness between her legs.
Please remember to visit the other writers and let us know what you think. Should I finish this story? Or is it best forgotten?

Lea Bronsen’s Latest Release
Hi, and thank you for hosting me on your blog!
When asked what inspires me to write books, I usually say it’s something I’ve seen or heard, or I’ve been challenged to dig deeply into my imagination and come up with a crazy idea. This time, it was a premade cover. The moment I saw this dark, sensual, slightly homo erotic image of a half-naked man in a fur coat on an exquisitely colored background, I knew it had to be mine. I decided in which historical period to set the story – the obscure, mythical age of the Vikings – and the ensuing process plunged me into an exciting and not so foreign world where everyday heroes lived the same dramas and battled for the same values and desires as we do in modern society. I hope you enjoy the read!

As the second son of a Viking earl, Alv Gunnulfsen wasn’t meant to inherit a throne or avenge a murder. But when his brother is slain during a raid and their father dies of grief, Alv is expected to take command and claim the killer’s death. In a world of ruthless retaliation and strict social codes, he must also maneuver cleverly to protect a troublesome secret: his attraction for men.
Roeland van Dijk, a wealthy Dutch merchant settled in Norway, has done the unthinkable to protect his family — hacked off the head of a Viking rapist. The wrath of the blond savages will cost him his freedom, and possibly his own head… Unless he’s willing to accept the love of another man.

Excerpt
After a moment, Alv looked up again and almost gasped from the erotic vision in front of him. While shaving Roeland, he’d only seen his wet, hairy chest and stomach, but the handsome man moved to a kneeling position in the basin and washed his lower body. His stunning maleness made Alv hot and bothered. They had discussed, argued, shared personal details, and apologized to each other, but now, the seriousness of their conversation faded. The sight of Roeland’s cock bathing in white foam between his legs had Alv’s own cock jolt and press painfully against his pants.
Oh, Roeland attracted him on several levels—mental, emotional, and physical—and Alv longed to discover and develop more of everything with him. Hedin was an exciting lover, but nothing like what Roeland had the potential to be.
Speaking of Hedin, it’d been a surprise to see him again this morning, right after Elke left. He’d arrived in a terrible mood and refused to excuse his disappearance act. It was outrageous of a slave to come and go like that, but Alv had too much on his mind to think of punishing him.
For one, he worried about Roeland’s future. He’d inherited part of Father’s wealth, but not his title. After returning to Eðni, he’d claimed to be the only one who could decide of what to do with his brother’s murderer, but it wasn’t true. He had no standing, no support from his fellow citizens. They could choose to kill Roeland if they wanted to—all it took was a word from Mother. It made her idea to have Alv marry Elke and adopt the community’s natural heir that much more important to push through.

Sexy Snippet Sunday
I don’t usually do sexy snippet Sunday, mostly because I don’t have regular releases. But I actually have a release on the 16th. I’m still in a daze to be honest.

Henri sat next to the unconscious body of the pale cleaner and carefully sat her up, removing her top to make it easier to check out the cuts. “She was attacked by a shifter, we need to stop the bleeding.” A noise of pain escaped his girl as the top stuck to the drying blood. Jo ran out of the room as Tessa’s eyes flicked open. “It’s okay, you’re going to be okay.” He brushed stray strands of hair away from her eyes. Something tugged at the centre of his chest, it didn’t have words, at least none he understood. It wasn’t the time or place to wonder why, not with her bleeding in his arms.
“Where am I?”
“At mine. I’ve got someone here who can help.”
She frowned. “I’m in your bed? Why didn’t you take me to a hospital?”
“This was closer,” he lied. If she was infected with the shifter virus, a human hospital wouldn’t help her. Shifter blood was infectious and as soon as they realised she was healing at a faster rate than normal, they would call people in to collect her. Then she would vanish. He reached out and cupped her cheek. She shivered against him. “She’s a nurse, Tessa, and I trust her to help you.”
This cover was created by the talented Jay Aheer. I hope you love this story as much as I loved writing it. [image error]

New Book
There are writers out there who can have a book out every month. That idea has always awed me a little. I have maybe two or three books out in a year. It means that any potential fans I might have are left waiting, which means I could lose them. Which sucks. The last story I had out was October time last year. A short story called ‘Across the Stars’. At the time I was a little inspired by Killjoys so it features Bounty Hunters and a badass heroine.
A few weeks ago I did a Teaser Tuesday for ‘The Vixen and the Wolf’ a story I wrote a while ago for another anthology. It didn’t get accepted but it did get a lot of positive feedback from the editor, so I got an R&R. Then with the help of talented writers Naomi Clark and Ravanna Tate I was able to get it accepted. The word count got expanded by 5k and the bad bits got taken out.
I’m super excited that’ll it will be out in June and is the start of a new series for me.
Here’s the blurb
Tessa Carey doesn’t want to work at the Golden Goose. With a deep fear of crowds and people she’d rather say at home but bills need to be paid and how much trouble can she get in to as a night cleaner?
Henri Tull is the Alpha for the Coldwater Pack. All he wants is to keep his family safe and working legitimate jobs is the way to do that. Then he meets Tessa. At first, she’s a voice on the other side of a radio. Until someone breaks into the Golden Goose and Henri runs to rescue her.
In one night Tessa’s life is changed beyond recognition. The world is a much scarier place than she thought and she can’t let fear rule her life anymore. Not if she wants to survive.
For those who read my work ‘The Coldwater Pack’ is not my first paranormal romance. My first and still one I’m very proud of is ‘Saving Kat’ which is part of my ‘Blackpaw Pack’ a series I wrote for Decadent Publishing. You can check out that one here with the rest of my books.

Blog hop for ‘Love & Lust in Space’ anthology
I am delighted to welcome you to my blog where I am going to tell you about my story in the ‘Love & Lust in Space’ anthology.
They say your screams can’t be heard in space… Unless you have a partner or two! Eleven authors take you on a trip where any pairings are acceptable, locations vary from spaceships to strange and futuristic worlds, and interesting and exciting objects can be used in sex play.
If randy astronauts, virtual reality lovers, sex in near-death situations, a commitment phobe human and her alien lover, and reproduction in space experiments don’t do anything for you, you are clearly not human!
So try the stories in the alien worlds half of the anthology, instead. Here you’ll find alien Doms, a mysterious gladiator saving a stricken princess, an exotic dancer, a paid assassin on the run, an illegal sonic dilda’tor, and a pleasure booth. Space has never been so exciting!
My story is entitled Across the Stars.
Kai knew he couldn’t hide forever, but he never thought his old employers would send her to track him down. Lyria wants her freedom and if that means she needs to capture and return the man who stole her heart, then so be it.
Except
It shouldn’t have hurt to see him again but it did. It didn’t matter how many times she’d told herself she could do the job without any emotion attached to it. She’d been lying to herself the moment she took the job. Seeing him there, the stubble that darken his chin, the startling blue eyes and jet black hair that always seemed like it needed a cut. It felt like someone had sucker punched her. A part of her wanted to run into his arms but she raised her gun instead. The bounty on Kai would be enough to buy her way out of Carlos establishment. She could have a normal life. All she needed to do was deliver the man in front of her.
“I don’t suppose you’ll make this easy for me?”
To her surprise Kai lowered his gun slightly. “How did you find me?”
“You told me once that if you ever got a chance to retire from the job, you wanted to just disappear. To found a town away from all the politics.” She glanced around the room. It was stripped bare. A bed. A chest of drawers. A holopad linked up to the news channels. It looked barely lived in. “This is the last place I expected to find you though.” It had taken her awhile to find him, a year in fact but she wasn’t about to admit that she’d been looking for him even before he became a job.
Giveaway
I’m giving away a story from my backlist, readers choice. All you need to do to enter is tell me what’s your favourite science fiction TV series?
Please do check out the other anthology authors’ blogs as you will find lots of interest and may even find some giveaways! And if you like the sound of the anthology here is the buy link (it will take you to the Amazon in your country): https://mybk.li/llis

Tantalizing Tueday Tease: Tied Up
Good afternoon from the UK. Every Tuesday a group of writers pick a picture and write 200 hours about it. This week I will be putting a tease from a WIP up. Make sure that you visit the other teasers. (sorry for the lack of a picture)
Pierce yanked her tights down, ripping them with a speed that thrilled and excited her. She’d never seen him like this, sure he was passionate, driven but he never lost control.
He pinned her hands up above her head and she only had a split second warning as he used the ruined tights to tie her to the beam.
She peered at him through the blonde strands of hair that had escaped her bun. He stepped away from her, studying her with a cool stare. The icy control that he displayed when they danced was back.
He knelt down between her legs. There was no way that she could hide from him, her legs indecently spread. The uni-tard she practiced in clipped together between her legs and two of the buttons had popped. The middle one stayed together but she knew that he could see her, he could see how wet she was.
Pierce didn’t look away from her but she noticed his hand drifting to between her legs. She held herself completely still. He really could do whatever he wanted to her and she wouldn’t be able to stop him.
The last button popped open.

Tantalizing Tuesday Tease
It has been a very long week but I managed to get a tease together from my current wip. After week a group of writers get together, find a picture and write 200 words about it. Make sure to visit everyone else on the list. There’s a little bit for everyone.
Heather suddenly forgot how to breathe. Tom stood with his back towards her but he couldn’t know that she was there. Heather didn’t make a sound when she moved, her socks on the wooden floorboards. He raised the front of his white vest top up and wiped his face. The back of it went up and revealed a back toned and tanned. Oh boy. It was a stupid idea to ask him to fix other parts of the house. It all could have waited for Fred to sort out after she left and didn’t Heather value her time alone, wasn’t that why she travelled so far away from home?
So why did she call the sexy handyman around? She’d been a bitch to him the other day and she thought he would have laughed down the phone at her. But no, here he was, sweaty and sexy. Heather nipped her bottom lip as he bent over and put something back into the tool box.
“I didn’t hear you.”
Heather had to practically drag her eyes away from his perfectly toned body. Keep your mouth shut Heather, anything that leaves your mouth is going to sound like its scripted from a bad porno film. “ She silently offered the cup in her hand.

Magic and Weres by Leona Bushman
Cover Reveal
Thank you for having me today! I have a favorite cover artist, whether for myself or on other authors, this artist’s artwork has always caused me to smile. Her name is Victoria Miller. I sent her this vague cover art form, saying, well, I have these things, all have magic, all have weres/shapeshifters. And um, the longest story is set in early Scotland, and it’s romance, and um, can you do your magic for me? LOL There may have been a lot of eye lash batting and begging.
Anyway, even with that, she managed to make me a gorgeous cover to match the feel of the stories in there. From early Scotland, to modern day England, you will find magic and shapeshifters. Love, romance, even a couple of hot ones.
An excerpt from Victorian England where Vampires drink werewolf blood to keep their powers of walking in the day and other magical elements, and werewolves live as long as their vampire counterparts. Our hero, Daryn, finds himself cornered by his nemesis, one who wants him back in the coven for dark reasons, and a little tease when he meets our heroine. The title is Daryn’s Slayer.
He grabbed his gloves and top hat, bent over, and snagged his boots, but left his crimson cravat tied to the post. It would be her talisman. He left one with all the women he slept with. His calling card.
Daryn had barely stepped out of the luxurious room when a voice from his right startled him.
“Do you always creep out like a thief the morning after? You used to have better manners than that.” The seductive voice pierced him with longing and hatred. His whole body quivered in remembered pleasure and torture. He turned to her, almost involuntarily, as need and loathing fought for supremacy.
Her body looked stunning encased in the latest fashions. Her dark gold, silk dress had a three-foot trail, ruffled along the bottom, with blood-red trim woven through the ruffles. Lace, with real gold threads worked in a leaf pattern, lined the seam of the ruffles, as well as her jacket and collar.
More gold-and-cream lace lined two sides of the red trim and splashed across her thighs. The corset, barely needed for her hourglass figure, only served to emphasize the delicacy of the fabrics used for her jacket and the ruffled lace that trimmed the inside of her collar and flowed in folds from her cleavage to just below her waist. He noted all this in the quick, practiced look he’d perfected over the last few hundred years.
“Good morning, Cassandra. So good to see you.” The sarcasm dripping from his tones, his first line of defense with her, couldn’t possibly have been missed, but she apparently chose to ignore it.
“Good morning, Daryn. Ready to come home? Tired of your little rebellion?”
He’d had centuries of practice, schooling his face into the impassive lines hiding his real emotions. She enjoyed her tortures too much to allow her to see how deeply she affected him.
“Tired, yes. The little minx whose home we’re in kept me busy all night,” he replied, and walked down the hall. He could have evaporated in mist and gone somewhere else, but, unless he planned on feeding again, which since significantly harder for him in daylight, he could only do it once. And she would follow. He had no intentions of showing her where he lived.
“You’re less funny than you believe yourself to be, my protégée,” she replied, not letting him leave her sight.
“Apparently I have wit beyond compare, as you see fit to push yourself in my presence, wanted or no,” he replied, taking the stairs two at a time down to the ground floor. It wouldn’t be long until he could no longer walk in the full sun, even early dawn, if he didn’t find a werewolf soon. Going outside burned him, with the morning light the least problematic.
Cassandra would hound him. She hoped to trap him back into the fold with his need. She didn’t know where he’d found his werewolf blood all these years, but she’d retaliated ages ago by ordering her coven’s guards to kill all of the renegade weres on sight, making it harder for him to find the powerful sustenance. She wanted him back. What he didn’t understand was why.
The longer he stayed away from her coven, the more convinced he became that there existed something nefarious in her wish to have him in the fold. Otherwise, why would this ruthless leader keep him alive in his disobedience when she had summarily ordered all others killed? He glanced behind him.
“What you have is an inflated ego which needs brought back down,” she said, grabbing his arm and turning him to face her. Damn it. He hadn’t felt or seen her move past him, and yet, there she was, standing between him and the door. That would teach him to look back.
“I’m quite sure you’re the queen destroyer of egos,” he snarled. Yanking his arm back, he struggled to keep his calm. He had to find a way to sit and put his top hat, gloves, and shoes on so he wouldn’t be hurt by the early sunlight. And he needed to go soon. The midday sun would be brutal on his skin. He’d be ashes within moments.
He strode into the morning room, put on his overcoat, and sat on one of the plush, fabric-covered chairs there. He hated turning his back to her, but he had to hide the fear that her fast movements had induced, as well as the bloodlust her touch inspired. If they shared blood again, he would be bound to her, as addicted as any mortal on opium.
He put on his boots as if he had all the time in the world, then stood up. Slowly, he drew on his gloves, wondering why she’d stayed silent. He peered up and surprised a look on her face, one he couldn’t readily decipher, before she schooled her features back into her normal haughty demeanor.
When she met his gaze, she said, “Now that you are properly dressed, shall we go for a stroll? I feel like a walk on the promenade,” she said in sugary tones, taking a dig at his severely limited daylight time.
“Oh, let us do that together, Cassandra. Your company is ever a source of joy and cheer for me,” he said, staring down at his hands and pushing his gloves on until they were exactly right. He realized he hadn’t buttoned up and smiled sardonically up at his former lover.
“Oh, but we mustn’t. I look a fright. I must go home to my manservant and allow him to put me to rights. Another time, perhaps. Don’t call on me, I shall find you. No, really. Don’t call on me. You’re not invited.”
With that, he took a chance that the retraction of invite might buy him a few minutes, and apparated outside a milliner’s shoppe, into the small alcove. He immediately fell over in a tangle of purple skirts and lace. Feminine gasps of outrage and surprise filled his ears until he finally got untangled.
They ended up face-to-face.
“Where, sir, did you come from?” the pert blonde asked, her hat askew. “And why do you feel the need to push me down?” She tried to straighten her hat, then realized her skirts lay in a chaotic fashion and rapidly stood up. Her parcels were strewn all about her, some tied in pretty ribbons, some hard, some lumpy.
He began gathering them up for her, his mouth dry. Her cleavage, which he’d seen as she’d stood up, had brought forth an honest sexual reaction. Not forced, or brought on by bloodlust, but by pure sexual fantasy. When he had her last parcel picked up, he stood and handed them to her.
“I’m sorry, miss.” He hesitated, wanting her to supply him with a name.
“Miss Ernestine Primrose,” she replied and held out her gloved hand, after transferring a large packet, the only one that hadn’t fallen, to her other hand.
He took her fingers in his and brought her hand up for a kiss. After giving it the customary greeting, he turned her hand over, and just above her short glove, he kissed her skin over her life vein.
She shivered, and her heart beat faster, its rhythm pounding against his ears like a melodic song. He met her eyes. They were a dark blue, the perfect foil to her blonde hair and fair, but slightly sun-kissed skin.
“Please, allow me to walk you home. It is the least I can do after such a blunder. I’m afraid I wasn’t watching where I was going and completely fell into you.” She had no idea how lucky they both were. Her being in his exact landing spot probably masked his scent from Cassandra.
All of a sudden, he grinned. Miss Ernestine Primrose had just found herself a suitor.
Daryn and Ernestine have a chemistry that I find exciting. I’m sometimes frustrated with characters. I’m a pantser, and sometimes, the characters are stubborn. These two flowed as if waiting to be written through the annals of time. It’s the hottest story in the anthology…well, The Lion, the Witch and the Faerie is also hot as hades. The other two are hot as well. Hmm, let’s hope this doesn’t scorch anyone!
Pre-orders will go live whenever Amazon decides to, but should be up any minute. LOL Magic and Weres full release is February 12th. Pre-order is here:
