Killer Stuff and Tons of Money was named the nonfiction winner in the 2012 Massachusetts Book Awards. Among 12 noteworthy finalists ("1493" by Charles Mann; "The Greater Journey" by David McCullough; "Lost in Shangri-la" by Mitchell Zuckoff, "Sex on the Moon" by Ben Mezrich, and "Why Read Moby Dick" by Nathaniel Philbrick).

Killer Stuff and Tons of Money is a work of immersion journalism that takes readers deep into the subculture of antiques, flea markets, and collecting--from the insider perspective of a charismatic, self-taught "itinerant" dealer--a modern day peddler.

Killer Stuff was also the finalist in the 2012 Maine Book Awards.
