Name duplicate

How annoyed I am at this moment can only be describes as, gggrrrrrr. I heard there was someone else using Rachel Walker as their pen name - I checked and YES there is. The other Rachel Walker released from April 2016 in a very similar genre to me. If you search my name her books come up too.

Now, don't get me wrong; I know that I don't have an original name. My mum chose the name and I didn't get a say. It may be the case that this other person has had the name as long as I have, 45 years. But, surely they did what I did when I first released. I spent an age searching the internet, bookstores and television to see if there was another writer with the same name. There was... this Rachel Walker did self motivation and meditation works that would not, by any stretch of the imagination, baffle a person with average intelligence into buying because they thought it was me. YAY! I could use my name. So I did.

First publishing in August 2014 (yes, 2 years ago) I have since added to my published work until I now have 8 books available. This other Rachel Walker released in April 2016 - 2 months ago.

Yes, I have emailed the relevant publishers and internet sites. I have asked if this other Rachel Walker can be asked to add a middle initial or name. But, NO, it appears that if I have the problem then I am the one needing to change.

Woe is me...

Any ideas? Please let me know...

FREE

Unbelievable as it may seem I decided to promote my latest release by putting my first full length novel FREE for the next two days.

Fingers crossed that this promotion is popular. I didn't realise getting my imagination into print would demand so much outlay.

Excited for release day

With the third full length book in 'The Gifted' series being published today, I still get shivers at the thought that people, YOU, read my imagination in printed form. Busy posting boost for the book and fingers crossed that this will gain interest. How nervous can I remain?Rachel Walker
