ANTÓNIO AGOSTINHO NETO, nasceu a 17 de Setembro de 1922. Desde cedo um opositor do domínio colonial português, foi por várias vezes detido em Lisboa, onde se licenciou em Medicina, e em Cabo Verde. Em 1962, fugiu para Marrocos, onde se juntou ao movimento de libertação no exílio. No mesmo ano foi eleito presidente do Movimento Popular para a Libertação de Angola (MPLA). Nessa qualidade, proclamou, a 11 de Novembro de 1975, a independência do país, tornando-se no primeiro presidente angolano.

Colaborou em várias revistas, jornais e publicações culturais e publicou diversos livros, dos quais se destacam o seu primeiro livro, Náusea (1952), Quatro Poemas de Agostinho Neto (1957), Com os Olhos Secos (1963) e Sagrada Esperança (1974). Recebeu o P ...more
